Banners for our blog

I thought I would share with you all a couple of banners I designed for our blog that I plan to use on other sites I belong to so that our blog will gain readers. I invite you to pick which one you like, or design your own and use it. Here they are:

Version 1:

Version 2:

I hope you all use them to bring readers to us.

All present and accounted for and an update

You may have noticed the two new (to readers who have been with me from the beginning they are familiar names) names in the contributors section. As I noted back in February, I had to change over to the new Blogger, which requires a Google account. Well, not all of us came over immediately, which was why I did not like the switch (to no fault of our contributors). However, we are now all back online with this blog and hopefully better than ever. Besides myself and Buck, we now have the contributions of another veteran of the Army, my father William Sauerwein, who hopefully will post soon. Also, we are honored to have Dr. Steven Woodworth, professor of history at Texas Christian University, who has written many books, primarily on the Civil War. I hope to be posting sometime soon my review of his more recent work Nothing But Victory, which chronicles the Army of the Tennessee and is a must read for Civil War historians and enthusiasts. I personally look forward to seeing their posts in the future.

In addition to the rendezvous with our two other contributors, I have been busy placing this site in various military related web rings to hopefully increase our visitors. If you come here and have an interest in writing for us, please email me (sauerwed@ic.edu) regarding your interest. I only ask that if you are interested in contributing for us that you verify your expertise in the field (i.e. let me know if you are active or prior military or are a historian or student of history). To my fellow contributors, I ask you to let your friends know of our site and invite them to be a contributor as the more voices we have, the better we will be. To our lost contributors, welcome back and keep up the great work.
